3yo Boy Allegedly ‘Gang Raped’ at Norwegian Refugee Center

Refugee Center, Norway  © Jonathan Nackstrand / AFP
Norwegian police are investigating an alleged rape of a three-year-old boy at a center housing asylum seekers in Stavanger, the country’s third-largest city. Precise details of the case are scarce, but police said multiple perpetrators may have been involved.

The alleged assault happened at the Forus Akuttinnkvartering center on January 6, but remained unreported until Wednesday.

The police were called by the center’s personnel, who received a tip from a telephone located outside of the facility.

“We are investigating the case as if the worst thing has happened, we are talking about the rape of a child,” police superintendent Bjorn Kare Dahl told Stavanger Aftenblad. “We have no suspects yet.”

The police did not disclose the nationality of the boy, but Norway’s TV2 reported that the boy was living at the center with his family. He was driven to a rape crisis clinic with his mother and then to the children’s ward at Stavanger University Hospital, the Local reported.

The police said they questioned the alleged victim and several other people and sent forensic specialists to collect evidence at the center.

Stavanger, Norway
Forus is currently providing accommodation for 781 men, women and children, a spokesman for the center, Lars Petter Einarsson, said.

“We had many people at work, both sanitation workers and security guards, but nobody saw anything,” he said.

He added that they reported to the police right after receiving the phone tip on Wednesday.

Sex crimes allegedly committed by asylum seekers hosted by European countries are a highly sensitive issue, after dozens of such assaults on women have been reported in Germany and other nations after New Year’s Eve.

The revelation that the authorities hesitated to report the spree of crimes to avoid anti-immigrant sentiments sparked a scandal.

As well it should. How can people even know to protect themselves when they are not aware of the brutal, criminal activity around them because the police don't want to stir up resentment?

Where there is 'good', there is truth;
where there is 'evil', there are lies.

Thousands of Migrant Children Disappearing into Slavery and Sex-Slavery Markets

10,000 kids missing in EU as criminals ‘exploit’ migrant flow – Europol chief of staff
This is a nightmare!

Human traffickers are taking advantage of Europe’s refugee crisis to find sex and labor slaves, particularly children, Europol says. The EU police’s chief of staff told the Observer that some 10,000 minors have gone missing since crossing into the EU.

EU refugee & migrant influx

Thousands of underage refugees have reportedly disappeared since registering with authorities, Europol’s chief of staff, Brian Donald, told The Observer.

At least 5,000 children have gone missing in Italy alone, Donald said, adding that another 1,000 have vanished in Sweden.

Donald stressed that an EU-wide “criminal infrastructure” could be specially targeting refugee children.

“It’s not unreasonable to say that we’re looking at 10,000-plus children. Not all of them will be criminally exploited; some might have been passed on to family members. We just don’t know where they are, what they’re doing or whom they are with.”

Moreover, there is already evidence of sexual exploitation, especially in Germany and Hungary. “An entire [criminal] infrastructure has developed over the past 18 months around exploiting the migrant flow. There are prisons in Germany and Hungary where the vast majority of people arrested and placed there are in relation to criminal activity surrounding the migrant crisis,” said Donald.

Thickening the plot, Police have discovered that the illegal gangs helping refugees come to the EU are the same gangs involved with human-trafficking. “The ones who have been active in human smuggling are now appearing in our files in relation to migrant smuggling,” said Donald.

The fate of unaccompanied children refugees is becoming a major concern in the EU, as the number of missing minors swells.

UK charity Save the Children estimates that at least 26,000 lone refugee children entered Europe in 2015. It has recorded multiple cases of sexual abuse, violence, and extortion involving child refugees and is calling on the UK to resettle 3,000 of them as soon as possible.

“These children need and deserve our help and protection. Left to fend for themselves, lone children are extremely vulnerable along the refugee route. Children report having been beaten, extorted, and sexually abused on their journey,” Save the Children CEO Justin Forsyth said.

Meanwhile, Europol estimates that 27% of the refugees that arrived in Europe in 2015 were minors.

“Whether they are registered or not, we’re talking about 270,000 children. Not all of those are unaccompanied, but we also have evidence that a large proportion might be,” said Donald, signaling that his estimate of 10,000 missing child refugees is likely much too low.

Sweden alone received a total of 35,369 unaccompanied, underage refugees last year, according to the country’s migration agency, Migrationsverket.

The Observer reported in December that the number of children asylum seekers disappearing in the UK had doubled over the past year.

Experts have warned that unaccompanied children migrants are the most vulnerable group.

“Unaccompanied minors from regions of conflict are by far the most vulnerable population; those without parental care that have either been sent by their families to get into Europe first and then get the family over, or have fled with other family members,” The Guardian quoted Mariyana Berket from the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) as saying.

Donald urges people to keep an eye out for missing refugee kids, since they could be subject to abuse in their communities. “These kids are in the community, if they’re being abused it’s in the community. They’re not being spirited away and held in the middle of forests, though I suspect some might be, they’re in the community – they’re visible. As a population we need to be alert to this.”

Earlier this week, British Prime Minister David Cameron refused to take in 3,000 unaccompanied refugee children scattered across Europe, claiming an open door policy would encourage more to make the perilous journey.

However, as a concession, the British government said it will accept more unaccompanied children from camps surrounding Syria. It said the children would be accepted on top of the 20,000 Britain has already pledged to take by 2020.

Britain’s International Development Committee (IDC) said in early January that it is particularly concerned about the plight of refugee children who have been left to fend for themselves in Europe.

Pervy Frankie Valli Tribute Singer Admits Child Sex Abuse

BY LAURIE HANNA  NEW YORK DAILY NEWS

Robin Maughan woked as a Frankie Valli tribute act in UK
A British pedophile who performs as a Frankie Valli tribute act is facing jail after he admitted a series of child sex offenses.

Robin Maughan, 34, was found guilty of secretly taking more than 100 indecent photographs and videos of underage boys and girls.

The pervert also encouraged children to send him indecent images of themselves, reported Mirror Online.

Maughan works as an entertainer in England, where he is known for his tribute act to Four Seasons lead singer Frankie Valli.

He pleaded guilty to 21 charges, including sexual abuse of an underage boy.

A man and a woman — who were 14 and 15 when he sexually abused them — wept in the public gallery as Maughan confessed to his crimes.

Leicester Crown Court heard how he made 17 videos of two boys, ages 10 and 12, in various stages of undress without their knowledge.

Judge Robert Brown told Maughan he will be sentenced on March 10.

Yazidi Ex-slave Girls Subjected to Traumatic ‘Virginity Tests’ to Prove ISIS Abuse

Good grief! As if they haven't suffered enough

© Ari Jala / Reuters
Having escaped abuse at the hands of Islamic State militants, Yazidi girls and women have been forced to undergo painful “virginity tests” to prove to Iraqi courts that they had been raped, Human Rights Watch has discovered.

A report looking into the post-ISIS fate of Yazidi women in Iraq was posted on the human rights organization’s website by Rothna Begum, a WRD researcher, on Wednesday.

One of them, a girl named Luna, says she was kidnapped by Islamic State (formerly ISIS/ISIL) militants, sold four times, and raped by all of her “owners.

“Survivors my colleague and I interviewed, described organized rape, sexual slavery, and forced marriage by ISIS,” the report reads.

The victims described in the report were in need of psychological help, health care, and other services. While officials in Iraqi Kurdistan took their plight seriously, they still forced the girls and women to undergo “virginity tests” to confirm that they had been abused.

“These tests were seen as evidence of rape by Iraqi courts,” Begum wrote.

Virginity exams, which are conducted out of cultural or religious beliefs, are commonly used in many parts of the world, including India, Turkey, Afghanistan, Egypt, Libya, Jordan, Indonesia, and South Africa.

However, such tests have been long been under fire by the World Health Organization, which has pointed out that they can cause pain and psychological harm.

“There is no place for virginity testing; it has no scientific validity,” stresses the WHO.

Testing to end

The good news is that the HRW has now received assurances by Kurdish officials that the practice will now end. A chief judge at the Dohuk Appeal Court, which is located in the capital of Kurdistan’s Dohuk Governorate, told the NGO that the committee tasked with collecting evidence has stopped using the tests and adopted a new reporting method in line with UN recommendations.

“The health directorate in Dohuk adopted a new medical examination report on sexual violence based on UN recommendations, consistent with human rights and best practice,” Begum writes.

Tens of thousands took to the streets of Rome to demand that the Italian government give up on a law that would provide gay couples legal recognition and limited adoption rights.

The large crowd, which included Catholic priests, gathered at the Circus Maximus venue in the center of the Italian capital on Saturday.

However, there’s little unity on the gay rights issue in the government, with some ministers openly opposing the initiative.

Italy’s interior minister, Angelino Alfano, expressed “full adherence” to the ideas of the participants of the “Family Day” rally.

Environment minister Gian Luca Galletti was among those attending the Rome protest, telling Sky that her “values are not negotiable.”

Pakistan: "Christian Girls Are Only Meant for the Pleasure of Muslim Men"

by Raymond Ibrahim

"Around 700 Christian women in Pakistan are abducted, raped and forced into Islamic marriage every year – that figure is almost two a day and the world does nothing." Wilson Chowdhry, human rights activist, citing the Muslim non-governmental organization, "Movement of Solidarity and Peace."

"Christian girls are considered goods to be damaged at leisure. Abusing them is a right. According to the community's mentality it is not even a crime. Muslims regard them as spoils of war." — Local residents, Pakistan.

Three Christian girls in Pakistan, who rejected the advances of some wealthy Muslim young men, were recently mauled by them. One of the girls died.

The London-born Chairman of the British Pakistani Christian Association (BPCA) and human rights activist, Wilson Chowdhry, who broke the story, reported that one of the men had said: "Christian girls are only meant for one thing, the [sexual] pleasure of Muslim men."

The incident occurred on January 13 in Lahore. The three girls—aged 17, 18, and 20—were walking home after a hard day's work. Four Muslim youths in a vehicle followed the girls and accosted them. The men "misbehaved," yelled "suggestive and lewd comments," and harassed the girls to get in their car for "a ride and some fun."

The girls declined the "invitation," and added that they were "devout Christians and did not practice sex outside of marriage."

This caused an immediate change in the demeanour of the boys who became more aggressive and started to threaten the girls to enter the car or to be physically forced in. Terrified of the increasingly dangerous situation they were in the girls started to run in a fit of panic. This only enraged the young Muslim men further, one of them shouted out at the girls, he said: "How dare you run away from us, Christian girls are only meant for one thing, the pleasure of Muslim men."

The Muslim men chased the girls and ran the car into them. Two girls fell to the ground; one's hip was broken, the other's ribs were shattered. The youngest, Kiran Masih, aged 17, flew up in the air and crashed into the speeding car's windshield. The Muslims, laughing and with the girl on the windshield, accelerated. Then the driver apparently slammed on the brakes, hard. The force of the stop catapulted the girl into the air. She then crashed to the ground, cracking her skull open and smashing her bones. Within minutes she was dead.

As usual, Pakistani police are reportedly "doing little to apprehend the young men and are allegedly delaying the investigative process." Chowdhry said:

In any other nation [than Pakistan] the perpetrators would be arrested, convicted for murder and sentenced for a long term.... Violence against Christians is rarely investigated and highly unlikely to be met with justice.... Women have a low status in Pakistan, but none more so than Christian women who find themselves under the grip or terror, especially after this attack. Muslim NGO "Movement of Solidarity and Peace" state[s] that around 700 Christian women in Pakistan are abducted, raped and forced into Islamic marriage every year – that figure is almost two a day and the world does nothing.

Accounts like this -- including the claim that it is a Muslim man's right to rape Christians and other "infidels" -- are common in Pakistan.

A Muslim rapist, while attacking a 9-year-old
Christian girl in Pakistan, her told her
"not to worry because he had done the
same service to other young Christian girls."

Local residents, discussing the man's remark to his 9-year-old rape victim, said: "It is shameful. Such incidents occur frequently. Christian girls are considered goods to be damaged at leisure. Abusing them is a right. According to the community's mentality it is not even a crime. Muslims regard them as spoils of war."

The Islamic concept of "spoils" is explained by one of the world's leading authorities on Islamic law and jurisprudence, the late Majid Khadduri, in War and Peace in the Law of Islam:

The term spoil (ghanima) is applied specifically to property acquired by force from non-Muslims. It includes, however, not only property (movable and immovable) but also persons, whether in the capacity of asra (prisoners of war) or sabi (women and children). ... If the slave were a woman, the master was permitted to have sexual connection with her as a concubine.

Even in Western nations, Muslims from Pakistan believe it is their right to rape and sexually abuse "infidel" women – or even Muslim women if they are out at night unaccompanied or not wearing a veil. Of course a veiled woman might also be attacked, but then the rape would be the same as for a non-Muslim rapist -- he wants what he wants and that's that. But if she is a Muslim out on her own, he can rationalize away or justify the rape as "his right" since she is acting like an infidel, so supposedly deserves what she gets. This author knows of no instance where a Muslim man targeted a Muslim woman because he thinks it is his "right."

In Britain in 2012, nine Muslim men—eight from Pakistan—were convicted of rape and sexual exploitation of children in Britain. And just as Christians and other "infidels" in Pakistan are told before they are raped, the men regularly "told their victims that it was all right for them to be passed around for sex with dozens of men 'because it's what we do in our country.'"

Today, as Muslims spread into the West, what they do to "infidel" women in their adopted countries is increasingly what they do to "infidel" women in their home countries—as thousands of women in Cologne and other cities recently found out.

Men Accused in Quebec Child Porn Bust Worked as Teachers, Scout Leaders

13 charged after Quebec and Ontario police busted an online pedophile ring
CBC News
Sûreté du Québec
Several of the men arrested in connection with a pedophile ring worked with children or had prior charges of child pornography.

Thirteen men were arrested and charged after Quebec and Ontario police busted an online pedophile ring on Wednesday.

Two of the men, Claude Paquette and David Turcotte, volunteered as group leaders for the scout troupe Adventurer Association of Baden-Powell.

It's not clear if the two men knew each other, Nicolas Rousseau, vice-president of the association, said.

"We're very shocked. Personally, I don't know this person, but they took all the necessary steps to be animators," he said, referring to background checks and other forms.

Neither were the subject of complaints from parents or kids, and both are no longer allowed to volunteer, he said.

"We work with the most precious things of these parents. We work hard, we believe in what we do. We hope that parents won't stop having confidence in us," Rousseau said.

This is what is known about some of the suspects.

Claude Paquette, 31
(Sûreté du Québec)

Paquette has been a Grade 3 Teacher at the École Primaire Île-des-Soeurs in Nuns' Island since last November. Parents at the school have been alerted to his arrest and he has been suspended with pay.

"Until now, there had been no complaints about him within the school board," said Barbara Blondeau, a spokesperson for the Marguerite-Bourgeoys school board.

The school board is offering psychological counselling to students, parents and teachers.

Parents of students at the elementary school said they were stunned by the news.

"I'm just really shocked...it's really shocking," said Sahar Soodbakhsh, the mother of a Grade 1 student.

"You're just not feeling safe when you find that maybe something happened like this in a school, but I feel we are in a century where this is happening everywhere. So we have to [warn] our children about these problems."

"I feel sad for the kids. But I'm very confident that the school did everything they needed to do...He hasn't been there for a long time — just three months," said Isabelle Legris, the mother of a child in Grade 2 who said she didn't know the teacher. "I feel very good now that he's not there anymore."
David Turcotte, 36
(Sûreté du Québec)

Paquette was also a teacher in Saskatchewan and elsewhere in Quebec. He was charged with production and distribution of child pornography.

Turcotte was a scout leader for five years with a scout troupe in the Montéregie. He was expelled last July for breach of code of conduct, when he was accused of driving a child home by himself.

He was also accused of making a recording of children.

Didier Chételat, 27
(Sûreté du Québec)

The youngest of the 13 accused, Chételat is an assistant professor at HEC Montreal since June 2015. HEC Montreal is a well-respected university business school

He was suspended with pay following his charges on Thursday.

 Jonathan St-Pierre 28
(Sûreté du Québec)

He pleaded guilty in 2007 to distribution of child pornography and was sentenced to two years in detention.

He also faced consecutive one-year sentences for luring a child, six months for two counts of conspiracy and six months for fabricating evidence.

Vincent Rodrigue, 39
(Sûreté du Québec)

He was charged in February last year with distribution, possession and accessing child pornography.

He later faced additional charges of possession and accessing child pornography in October and December, as well as four counts of failure to comply with conditions. Those charges are still pending.

Patrick Charbonneau, 36

Charbonneau had two peace bonds filed against him by unknown persons: one in 1999 and another in 2002.

Jean-Marc Saint-Hilaire, 66

He is accused of having advised a person, so far unidentified, of committing a criminal act of producing child pornography. The offense was not committed.

There are warrants for the arrest of two other men.

Alarm at Fresh Child Sex Abuse Allegations by European Troops in CAR

Allegations include sex abuse of a 7 year old

The United Nations has uncovered fresh allegations of child sexual abuse in Central African Republic (CAR) by European Union troops, with six more cases now being investigated.

A UN team recently interviewed five girls and a boy who claimed their abusers were part of French and European Union military operations in the troubled African country, the office of High Commissioner for Human Rights Zeid Raad al-Hussein said.

The claims included one from a 7-year-old girl who said she had to perform sexual acts on French soldiers in exchange for water and cookies. The 7-year-old is the youngest alleged victim so far in any of the CAR cases.

Other children were allegedly abused in a similar fashion in repeated incidents involving several French soldiers, according to the statement.

The latest allegations bring the number of sexual abuse cases involving UN peacekeepers in the Central African Republic to over 30.

The abuse allegedly took place in 2014 in or near a camp for displaced people near M’Poko airport in CAR’s capital, Bangui, but only came to light in recent weeks.

France, Georgia to investigate

French Defence Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian has ordered an immediate investigation aides said Friday.

The minister instructed French investigators to pursue the probe "as soon as he became aware of documents issued on January 19 by the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights", an aide told AFP.

The UN is under pressure to act more quickly after an independent panel last month described the world body’s “gross institutional failure” in handling similar allegations in CAR against French and other peacekeepers. The report said the months-long delay in addressing children’s accounts of abuse had led to even more reported assaults.

Obviously, the UN is dragging its heels on this because they can't find a way to pin it on Israel!

The UN can report the allegations but countries themselves are responsible for prosecuting their troops over such crimes.

‘Rampant’ abuse

Rupert Colville, a spokesman for Zeid’s office, estimated that troops from “something like ten” foreign military contingents in CAR have now been embroiled in sexual misconduct allegations. He said it was difficult to estimate how many individual soldiers might have been involved.

“What is abundantly clear in the CAR is that it’s been rampant,” Colville told reporters at a UN briefing Friday in Geneva. “What this does show is this is a problem with armies, with the military forces, and for whatever reason not enough is being done to stop this happening - the message doesn’t seem to have got through.”

He said he was unaware of any convictions so far by judicial authorities in any of the cases that have been brought to light.

The country is struggling to recover from deadly sectarian violence that exploded after a 2013 coup, pitting largely Muslim rebels against Christian militias.

France deployed several thousand troops to the country – which was previously a French colony - in late 2013 to assist the government in restoring order. An African Union mission that began in April 2014 was taken over by a UN peacekeeping force five months later, while the EU force ended an 11-month mission in March last year.

At a news conference later Friday in New York, the U.N. announced new allegations against U.N. peacekeepers as well. Assistant Secretary-General Anthony Banbury came close to tears as he described four new child sex abuse cases in CAR involving U.N. troops and police from Bangladesh, Congo, Niger and Senegal.

He also announced an allegation of sexual assault against a minor by a member of Morocco's military contingent serving with the earlier AU mission.

For all of 2015, Banbury said, there are likely to be 69 confirmed allegations of sexual abuse or exploitation in the U.N.'s 16 peacekeeping missions around the world, including 22 in CAR. That's up from 51 in 2014, when there were no reported cases in CAR, he said.

In a shift for the world body, Banbury said U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon will issue a report next month with details of all allegations from 2015, including the names of countries whose troops are accused. The information, including the status of investigations, will be regularly updated online, he said.

Police Break-up High School Sexting Ring

No such thing as safe sext:
Charges filed in Newtown ‘sexting’ ring

Three Newtown High School students have been arrested and face child pornography possession charges for their involvement in a student-based “sexting” ring. An additional 20 students were referred to a Juvenile Review Board for spreading explicit material.

The charges follow a six-month investigation, after the sexually explicit media in question was circulated to about 50 Newtown High School students. Alerted by school officials, authorities stopped the images from reaching more of the 1,800-strong student body or the internet. Shared across Snapchat, Facetime, iMessage, KiK, and others, the materials were created outside of school, by both male and female students, and also sold for $10-$20 apiece, WTVR-TV reported.

The investigation into the sexting ring began in May 2015, when a Newtown High School resource officer discovered the material, the Hartford Courant reports. During the investigation, police interviewed over 50 students and their parents.

So far, all of the students facing legal repercussions have been identified as minors and will not have their names released. The three males who were arrested face charges for possession and transmission of child pornography, according to the Courant.

Newtown churches
Another 20 students have been referred to a “community-based diversionary program designed for community leaders to take a tempered response to what would be considered criminal actions committed by a juvenile-aged offender,” according to police. The students referred to the review board will face consequences for their actions, but can avoid entering Connecticut’s criminal justice system.

The roles that the 20 students played are unknown, but the individuals whose images were shared were held accountable for participating. However, Newtown Police Department Sergeant Aaron Bahamonde told WTVR-TV that the students who took pictures and sent them to others never intended the images to go beyond the original recipient.

Come on. Are kids that stupid that they think they can control something on the internet? If they are then the school is not doing its job - it should be letting them know there is no control once something enters cyber-space.

“There are victims here, real victims,” he said. “Peer pressure is hard enough in high school.”

January has been a busy month for Newtown High School. In mid-January, the Newtown Police Department subdued a 50-year-old man who threatened to hurt himself or others outside of the high school. After a two-hour lockdown, the suspect was forcibly removed from his vehicle.

'Spanking' over Nude Snapchat Photo Leads to Assault Conviction for Parents

Religious couple hit 14-year-old daughter on buttocks with mini hockey stick and skipping rope

By Jason Proctor, CBC News

A religious couple in Salmon Arm, British Columbia, have been convicted of assault for "spanking" their daughter with a mini hockey stick and a skipping rope after learning she had sent nude photos of herself to her boyfriend on Snapchat.

In a case that tests issues of consent, discipline and parental responsibility, provincial court Judge Edmond de Walle found no excuse for the parents' behaviour.

"In this day and age, any reasonable parent would be concerned about a teenager sending nude pictures of him or herself via a cellphone or any other electronic device. The pitfalls and dangers of such activities are well-reported. Such behaviours can lead to bullying and even suicide," de Walle wrote.

"To suggest that responding to such acts by a teenaged daughter (14 going on 15 years), by spanking her with an object, would be educative or corrective, is simply not believable or acceptable by any measure of current social consensus."

2 options: grounding or spanking

The incident occurred in 2015 on Valentine's Day.

It came to the attention of police when the daughter showed bruises on her buttocks to two of her girlfriends, who in turn reported what they had seen to the school principal.

According to de Walle's ruling, the father had previously confiscated the daughter's cellphone because of her renewed relationship with the boyfriend.

The Supreme Court has ruled that children
between the age of two and under the age of 13
can be spanked if the action is seen
as corrective and reasonable.
But she was still able to use an iPad.

"On reviewing the text messages on the iPad the father discovered messages that referred to his daughter sending nude photographs of herself," de Walle wrote.

"The daughter believed that the photos only lasted a few seconds after transmission using the Snapchat site."

The father confronted the daughter and told her "she needed to respect herself and not throw herself at boys."

He then discussed what form of punishment would be appropriate. "The daughter subsequently recalled that her father offered her two options: to be grounded for a really long time or to be spanked."

She opted for the spanking.

According to the decision, the father struck his daughter two or three times with a plastic mini hockey stick about 45 centimetres (18 inches) in length. He then told his wife what had happened.

"The mother became upset and picked up a skipping rope that was in the garage," the decision says.

"She hit her daughter two or three times on her buttocks with the skipping rope. The mother said she was doing this because she loved her daughter."

Is the judge suggesting that maybe she doesn't love her daughter or had another motive for spanking her?

The hand is for love, not discipline

On the stand, the father, who had no criminal record, described his family as Christian. His father used to discipline him with an orange plastic spoon.

"He testified that the hand is used for compassion and love, not for discipline," de Walle wrote.

"In other words, the father believes that an object, not the hand, must be used when administering discipline."

Legal arguments in the case centred on a child's ability to consent to an assault from a parent and the consideration that goes into "corrective force" used by parents as discipline.

The judge found that the parents were in a position of authority, and she wasn't offered a choice beyond grounding or assault.

Really, your honour? Is this about how many choices she was offered? Were you looking for something more gentle as an option when removing her cell-phone obviously didn't work? Do you have any children, your honour?

"Although the complainant chose a 'spanking,' it was not a fully informed consent with an appreciation of all the consequences," de Walle wrote.

Is there a text-book on how to fully inform a child of all the consequences of a spanking? Was he supposed to take her to a lawyer to discuss it first? What are the consequences of spanking besides 'it hurts'?

As far as discipline is concerned, the Supreme Court has set out considerations whereby "corrective force" is deemed reasonable as opposed to assault: It must be intended for educative or corrective purposes, and the force has to be reasonable under the circumstances.

The law generally accepts that those rules don't apply to corporal punishment used on children under two or teenagers.

In the case at hand, de Walle found the father had clearly intended the spanking as punishment for sexting.

Isn't spanking 'corrective'. It sure worked on me when I was young.

"The parents took no educative or corrective steps by seeking out expert help or any other assistance," de Walle wrote.

"Their actions were solely punitive and not corrective. In my view, the actions of the parents were also degrading."

I wonder how he got to that conclusion that their actions were not corrective. Isn't that why they took her cell-phone away, to correct her behaviour? Also, I doubt that the spanking degraded her any more than the awareness that she sent nude pictures of herself on the internet.

The judge also found the use of weapons — "namely the plastic mini hockey stick and the skipping rope" — was not reasonable under the circumstances and amounted to excessive corporal punishment.

So was there some serious or permanent damage done? In some cultures she might have been stoned to death or received dozens of lashes - each one breaking the skin. In other countries she might have been sentenced to gang-rape. But we are above that, as we should be.  But if spanking doesn't cause any damage requiring medical intervention, how much harm can it do? It might even do a lot of good.

On the other hand, our liberal attitudes nowadays have produced such a great generation of moral teenagers, how can we argue with that?

He found both the mother and the father guilty of assault. The couple have yet to be sentenced. Their next court date is in March.

So there you have it once again. Thousands of years of traditional behaviour declared illegal. Another volley in the war on Christianity. What's the world coming to?

Bikram Yoga Founder to Pay over $7mn in Damages Following Sexual Assault Trial

@frau.loft / Instagram
Bikram Choudhury, founder of “hot yoga,” has been ordered to pay more than $7 million in damages by a Los Angeles, California court for the sexual assault of a former employee.

Choudhury was sued by his former legal advisor, Minakshi Jafa-Bodden, who told the court that the 69-year-old sexually assaulted her while she was still his employee.

Jafa-Bodden, who worked for Choudhury at his LA yoga school between 2011 and 2013, also said her boss fired her after she refused to cover up an investigation she had launched into allegations that he had raped a yoga student. Choudhury denied all claims.

Choudhury, who owns a mansion in Beverly Hills and a fleet of over 40 cars, refused to tell the court how much he was worth, saying the lawyers would have to ask his accountant about the state of his finances, the LA Times reported.

He explained, however, that due to the accusations, his yoga business had suffered financially and that he was nearly bankrupt.

"I have to borrow money from my family and friends," he told jurors. "I have no money."

The jury did not believe the India-born guru, however, and on Tuesday ordered him to pay Jafa-Bodden almost $6.5 million in punitive damages in addition to the nearly $1 million the jury had awarded her on Monday in compensation.

"I feel vindicated, I’m elated," Jafa-Bodden told the LA Times, describing Choudhury as "a dangerous, dangerous predator."

Six other women have lodged similar lawsuits accusing Choudhury of sexual assault. His lawyers have branded all the claims as "false".

One of these girls was 18 years old when Choudhury allegedly began sexually assaulting her.

Two separate Jane Does filed suit against Choudury, 67, and Bikram Yoga alleging sexual battery, false imprisonment, discrimination, harassment and seven others counts, according to Courthouse News. Both women, whose identities were not released, filed very similar suits on the same day in the same California courtroom.

Another former student, 29-year-old Sarah Baughn, filed suit against Choudury in March claiming he sexually assaulted her constantly during her time training to become a yoga instructor in 2005 and has since prevented her from teaching “because of her past and continuing refusal to have sex with the guru.”

In her complaint filed Monday the second Jane Doe claimed she had been raped in November 2010 after her boyfriend paid for her to be trained as a teacher a Bikram’s San Diego studio.

Choudhury created Bikram yoga in India before moving to the US in the 1970s. The practice consists of 26 poses performed over a 90-minute session in a room which is heated to 105F (40C).

The millionaire yogi is also known for his brash personality. He was taken to court by a former student in 2010 for saying “Women are bitches and whores. They’re here for one thing, and that’s to make babies.”

He also compared a former apprentice to Hitler and Osama bin Laden while equating himself to Elvis Presley and the modern day incarnation of Jesus Christ during a 2011 interview with Details magazine.

Hardcore Porn Accidently Screened During Father and Infant Son’s Funeral

A grieving family was left horrified when a pornographic video was accidentally played during a funeral service.

Hundreds of family and friends congregated at Thornhill Crematorium in Cardiff to pay their respects to Simon Lewis and his baby son, Simon Lewis Jnr, who were killed in a car accident.

During the service the priest went to play a video of Simon, but a pornographic film came on instead. Cardiff Council has launched an urgent investigation into the incident, according to Wales Online.

The head-on collision took place on New Year’s Eve, killing the 33-year-old father at the scene. The couple’s unborn baby suffered distress in the accident and died three days after an emergency Caesarean Section at the University Hospital of Wales.

Funeral goers described their shock at seeing the hardcore pornographic content, which played for four minutes before anyone was able to turn it off.

“It was absolutely disgusting, the priest turned around to play the video of Simon, but instead a hardcore pornography video was played on the big screen,” an anonymous funeral-goer told The Mirror.

“Everyone was in shock, Simon’s father-in-law was furious, he shouted at the staff present and told them to turn it off. It took them nearly four minutes to turn it off, people couldn’t believe what they were seeing.

“To the priest’s credit he handled it extremely well. He apologized on behalf of Cardiff Council and said that in 30 years of doing the job, he had never seen such filth.

Local priest Lionel Fanthorpe said the family was very distressed by the episode.

“I remember looking up at the screen and seeing some type of video came on and a very loud noise. I look at my congregations instead of the TV screen, but when I heard this noise and members of the congregation moving towards the screen, I realized something was wrong,” he said.

“Members of the family were very distressed, and Simon's father-in-law was desperately upset. Thankfully an engineer came to fix it and turn it off. It seems to be some kind of electronic accident.

“I was extremely saddened for the family at losing Simon and the baby, and this was not what anybody could have ever imagined or wanted. My heart goes out to all the friends and family present.”

A spokeswoman for the family said they would not comment until the local authority’s investigation is finished.

“An unfortunate situation occurred today at the funeral of Simon Lewis and Simon Lewis Jnr which was beyond the control of family, friends and the funeral congregation. Until the investigation has finished in its entirety there will be no further comments from the family,” the spokeswoman said.

A spokesman for Cardiff council suggested the smart TV could have picked up the pornographic broadcast by accident.

Seriously! I hope this doesn't get whitewashed with that excuse; it's pathetic.

“We are carrying out an urgent investigation. There were four television screens used. The TV screen that showed the inappropriate content was recently installed, to replace the one that was broken.

It would have been broken again if I had been there. My cell phone, a chair, something or someone would have gone through that screen, especially if there were children present. The unfortunate report doesn't mention whether there were children or not, but most funerals have at least some children present.

Whoever was responsible for this should be charged with child sex abuse.

Couldn't they unplug the thing?

“We are trying to establish whether the smart TV could have picked up a broadcast by accident from Bluetooth or a WiFi connection. The other TVs were not affected. We are clear that it is not possible for any member of staff to play or download anything onto the computer to be shown on the screen.

“The screen has now been disconnected. We would like to take the opportunity to extend our sincere apologies to the family and friends.”

Rape, Sex Abuse Statistics Across Europe Much Worse Than Reported

Danish police accused of manipulating rape statistics to hide ‘hundreds’ of cases

© Claus Fisker / Reuters
Denmark`s Justice Ministry has found out that the real number of rape cases processed by police was at least three times higher than official statistics suggested, local media report. Police deny any cover-up, blaming the difference on statistical inaccuracies.

Police didn’t properly classify crimes involving rape up to 2014, with about 700 cases containing allegations of sexual abuse remaining unattributed to this category every year. The average number of rape cases annually registered by police was nearly half that figure at 395, according to the Justice Ministry’s investigation, Metroxpress reports.

The majority of unrecorded rape incidents ended up as cases with inconclusive evidence, as there were doubts whether rapes had been committed. This approach to statistics was dropped in November 2015, but still an unknown number of cases are not reflected in the data.

The Justice Ministry says the real number of rape cases totals an average of 1,100 a year.

Remember, these are just rape cases reported to police. In most countries that is a small portion of the actual rapes. I don't know if that is true in Denmark, but I would be surprised if it isn't.

“It is a huge number, but it doesn’t surprise me that the actual number is higher than the official one,” Hanne Baden Nielsen, director of the Center for Sexual Assault, said describing the revelations as “astonishing.” Her comments were reported by The Local.

Pernille Skipper, a Danish MP, blamed the police for mishandling sexual abuse cases.

“Unfortunately, this reflects what we are hearing from women that tell us that the police are sending them home, she said.

However, Soren Pind, Denmark`s Justice Minister, denied that the incorrect data was a result of an intentional cover-up and stressed the need to improve the accuracy of statistics.

“I don’t think anyone in the system actually wanted to hide these things,” she told Metroexpress, adding that the authorities intend to monitor the police’s actions in this area more closely. “We are bringing in a monitoring of this area. If any case is suspended, reasons must be given, so now we will get a useful statistic.”

On Wednesday, a Danish teenage girl was sexually assaulted by an English-speaking man in the center of the small town of Sonderborg . The attacker knocked her down and was about to assault her when she used pepper spray to defend herself, forcing him to flee the scene. However, police charged her with possessing a weapon, saying it is illegal to carry and use pepper sprays, according to reports in local media.

Earlier, it was reported that women were subject to harassment by asylum seekers in at least three Danish cities. Several incidents occurred in the town of Thisted, where a refugee camp for 365 asylum seekers is located.

Cases of sexual abuse were also registered in the Danish cities of Sonderborg and Hardeslev, where several local nightspots owners imposed “language controls” requiring visitors to prove their ability to speak Danish, German or French, following complaints from women.

Since 551 women reported being sexual harassed on New Year’s Eve in the German city of Cologne, allegedly committed by groups of migrants of North African origin, the problem of sexually-related violence in Europe has been in the media spotlight.

‘We can’t arrest them’: German police officer speaks out on refugees

A German police officer told media that law enforcement cannot efficiently tackle crime among refugees without being accused of excessive violence or racism, while many dangerous incidents are played down or kept secret to maintain desirable statistics.

The federal police officer, referred to as Bernd K., has shared his experiences with Bild newspaper, having worked for six months at Munich train station and also in the “refugee hotspots” of Passau and Freilassing in Bavaria.

“At first, mostly families with children – who looked educated and spoke English – were coming here,” the officer told. “Meanwhile, 95 percent of refugees are now single men.

People do not know what happens in reality, even when it comes to violence or physical abuse, as the general picture looks softened, he continued.

“One asylum seeker wanted to cut his fellow’s throat. But the crime scene report included only severe injuries rather than murder attempt. This looks better for the statistics” Bernd K. explained. In his view, the crime rate among refugees far exceeds that of the local population:

“For the last couple of months, I had only one criminal charge against a German, the rest [of suspects] were only refugees.”

Referring to abuse and harassment against women, similar to those that took place in Cologne on New Year’s Eve, the officer said such cases are widespread in Bavaria as well.

“At the train station, women are sexually harassed and offended on regular basis. When we speak of an entry ban [to the area], they would shout on us: ‘You are not my police. You are a racist’.”
The guilt card - Muslims are world class at playing the guilt card!

However, when a refugee needs to be controlled, the police cannot arrest him even for a while, the officer said, citing “superior orders” prescribing not to use coercive actions. “Our domestic rule is – better to let him run away.”

German law enforcement needs to impose stricter control on perpetrators as well as more police officers and more independence from political agenda, the officer went on.

“Otherwise it will turn into a big bang someday, if it’s not there already,” he concluded.

Police authorities in Germany and neighboring Austria and Sweden came under fire following an increased number of sexual abuse cases against women by suspects of allegedly “North African” or “Middle Eastern” descent. The situation before and after New Year’s Eve mass assaults nearby Cologne train station and in the city center was at first reported by local police as a “peaceful atmosphere,” prompting the Cologne police chief to resign.

After continuous reports of sexual assaults against women in the Austrian city of Salzburg, Vienna Police Chief Gerhard Purstl told Krone newspaper “Women should in general not go out on the streets at night alone, they should avoid suspicious looking areas” in an interview that spurred a wave of criticism.

Sexual assaults on New Year’s Eve took place in a number of European countries. The largest number of assaults was recorded in Cologne, where 516 criminal cases have been filed with Cologne Police, who said that these included two cases of rape.

Swedish police accused of covering up sexual assaults committed by refugees at music festival

© TT News Agency / AFP
Swedish police are accused of covering up mass sexual assaults allegedly committed by refugees at a music festival. It follows claims that gangs of youths, mostly from Afghanistan, molested girls as young as 11 or 12 at the annual event.

According to Dagens Nyheter newspaper, an internal police report on the 2015 'We Are Sthlm' festival stated that “the problem of young men rubbing themselves up against young girls returned as in previous years.”

"These are so-called refugee youths [mostly] from Afghanistan...the [group] was also responsible for several fights during the evening,” police wrote.

However, when Stockholm police made a public statement on the event, it said there had been “relatively few crimes” considering the large number of festival-goers.

The police force has been accused of covering up the sexual assaults committed by refugees, with Officer Peter Agren – who was in charge of policing at the festival – calling the accusations a “sore point.”

“We sometimes dare not to say how it is because we think it might play into the hands of the Sweden Democrats,” an anti-immigration party, he said.

Stockholm Police's head of communications, Varg Gyllander, said it was wrong to not speak openly about what took place at the festival, Radio Sweden reported.

“As [the person responsible for communications] in Stockholm, I am self-critical, we should have communicated that. I actually do not know why it did not happen," he said. “I actually do not know why it did not happen."

“...The problem is probably not the police work as such, but that we have failed to communicate what has been done and what has happened," Gyllander added.

Meanwhile, Sweden Democrats MP Bjorn Soder told Expressen: “It is a scandal without equal. This must be investigated immediately. Could this be something that happened at several locations in the country, that they do not bother to tell you certain things because it could ‘play into the hands of a particular party’?”

It is long past time for European leaders to be more concerned with Europeans. I know we can't abandon our humanity and do nothing about the victims of war, but most migrants are not war migrants, they are economic migrants and they need no mercy for they certainly don't show mercy to young, white girls. Send them back!

17yo Girl Faces Fine for Using Pepper Spray Against Sex Attacker

Outrage in Denmark as girls not allowed to defend themselves from rapists

© Sergii Polezhaka / Reuters

A Danish teenager who said she was sexually assaulted now faces a fine for using pepper spray against her attacker. The man who pulled her to the ground and tried to undress her fled the scene without any charges.

The incident took place in the center of the small town of Sonderborg in southern Denmark at about 10 p.m. local time Wednesday. She told police that an English-speaking man knocked her to the ground, tried to unbutton her pants and undress her.

However, she was apparently able to protect herself as she pulled out pepper spray and used it against the man, who escaped the scene and hasn’t been charged.

So then they can't actually prove that she used pepper spray on anyone.

Police say that the girl may face a fine.

“It is illegal to possess and use pepper spray, so she will likely be charged for that,” local police spokesman Knud Kirsten said, as cited by TV Syd.

According to The Local, the girl’s fine could be about 500 kroner ($72) and that has sparked outrage on social media.

Readers of the story on TV Syd’s website said they were ready to pay the girl’s fine.

“It is so completely and terribly wrong with the Danish system… Self-defense is a human right,” wrote one user, while another ironically added: “Perhaps the offender must seek compensation…Have we become mad in Denmark?” Is that rhetorical?

In America she could have pulled out a revolver and shot the guy in the face, and she would be a hero. Denmark has to start looking after their girls a lot better than they are. They need to be trained in self-defence and equipped with weapons like pepper spray instead of discouraging self-defence. Please don't sacrifice a generation of Danish girls on the altar of political correctness.

Sonderborg Harbour
In the meantime, RT contacted local police spokesperson Helle Lundberg who said that officers had found neither “the attacker, nor any witnesses.”

“We do not know who he is, and we do not know if he might be an asylum seeker. The girl has described him as English-speaking. That is all we know,” the spokesperson added.

Sonderborg, along with other Danish cities, recently appeared in the news in connection with sexual assaults against women by migrants.

“We must say that a large number of the male guests who come from the local asylum center have a very hard time respecting the opposite sex. In my eyes, it is harassment when one or more men continue to touch a young woman after she has said ‘stop,’” Glenn Hollender, from the Sonderborg club Den Flyvende Hollænder, told TV Syd earlier in January.

So, it's not harassment when one or more men touch a girl inappropriately until she has said 'stop'? Apparently, Have we become mad in Denmark? is rhetorical.

Sexual harassment of women by refugees and migrants in Europe is the main issue that has been making headlines since the New Year.

The first city to report about mass sexual harassment was Cologne, Germany. According to witnesses, “heavily intoxicated” men of “Arab or North African” origin were harassing and assaulting local women in the city center on New Year’s Eve.

Similar cases have been reported in other German cities such as Berlin, Frankfurt and Stuttgart. Police were also accused of covering up migrant attacks in Sweden, after groups of young Afghan men reportedly molested girls at a teen music festival.

12 Suspects Arrested on Child Pornography Charges in Canada

Twelve suspects have been arrested in two Canadian provinces, mostly in Quebec, during a major bust on an alleged online child sexual exploitation ring. The operation was the result of a three-year-long investigation.

The suspects, aged 27 to 74, were detained on Wednesday in Quebec City, Montreal, Trois Rivieres, Toronto, Saint-Eustache and Richelieu-Saint-Laurent.

They are suspected of having online discussions about their sexual experiences with kids and sharing advice on where to meet children without causing suspicion, Quebec’s provincial police force, Surete du Quebec, said.

"They would also talk about tactics to use and places to go for the purpose of abusing children without awakening suspicion," Sergeant Joyce Kemp told CTV News Channel on Wednesday morning.

About 150 police officers from Quebec and Ontario took part in the arrests, dubbed the Operation Malaise.

Great name! You can't get much 'sicker' than someone who watches child porn, and then talks about it with other perverts.

How sad so many are from Quebec. Is that an example of evolution - Quebecers who were once called voyageurs are now called voyeurs?

The officers have been combing the homes of the suspects and withdrawing computer software for further investigation.

"Seizures were made in the houses where the suspects live. Computers were seized and their contents will be analyzed," Surete du Quebec spokeswoman Sergeant Melanie Dumaresq told CBC News.

Some of the suspects are expected to appear in a Montreal courthouse on Wednesday.

The investigation into child sexual abuse was launched in 2013 after a police received a tip from a member of the public.

The team to curb child sexual exploitation was formed a year earlier, Kemp said.

"Since this investigation team was put together… nearly 350 arrests have been made and thanks to this, dozens of victims have been identified in different cases," she said, as cited by the CTV News.

Child sexual coercion is one of the most under-reported crimes in Canada. The 2004 General Social Survey on Victimization, a sociological survey in the United States, found that eight in 10 youths ages 15 to 17 who had been victimized did not report the incident to police.

Great work people. You are my heroes today. God bless you.
Now if we can just get the judges to give them more than a slap on the wrist, it might have been worthwhile.

School Lesson on Sexual Abuse Exposes Child Rapist

Child sex abuse education works!

Eric Mashaba, News24

Mbombela, South Africa - A teacher's Life Orientation lesson on sexual abuse has led to the imprisonment of a man who raped a 12-year-old girl.

Piet Petros Nkosi, 42, from Pienaar, near Mbombela, burst into tears when the Nelspruit Regional Court sentenced him to 16 years in jail on Tuesday.

“I'm being unfairly sentenced, for something I did not do. I'm going to appeal because I know I'm innocent,” he wailed while being escorted down to the cells.

He was arrested on September 14, 2011, after the child told her Grade 4 class teacher about the rape.

Nelspruit, Mbombela
Nkosi pleaded not guilty. He told the court the girl fabricated the story after he had argued with her family. He raped her when he visited the family and spent a night with them.

Magistrate Vanessa Joubert said during her judgment that after the child burst into tears during a lesson, her class teacher questioned her.

“The victim said the lesson reminded her of the ordeal, the sexual abuse. She felt guilt, shame and stigmatised. She then told her teacher she had been raped by her father's friend,” said Joubert.

Police were called to the school and the girl's parents were notified.

The doctor who examined her confirmed that penetration had taken place and that she had been infected with a sexually transmitted disease.

Joubert said the State called four witnesses, including two teachers.

“The victim was a single witness and she testified in camera. She said the accused called her into his room and he raped her on top of cardboard boxes. During the investigation, blood was found on the cardboard boxes, which were in the accused's room,” she said.

Although she could not remember the exact date and time of the rape, the girl was able to tell the court what happened.

“She said the reason she reported the incident late was that the accused had threatened that he would kill both of her parents if she spoke about the ordeal,” said Joubert.

She deviated from the prescribed sentence of life imprisonment because Nkosi had already spent four years in custody and due to delays in the trial.

Joubert declared him unfit to work with children and ordered that his name be added to the national register for sex offenders.
