Sex abuse athletics coach Darrell Bunn sentenced.
A former international athletics coach who admitted a series of sexual assaults and child abduction charges against a teenage girl in the 1980s has avoided being jailed.
Darrell Bunn, 64, who worked at the Birchfield Harriers club, pleaded guilty to 10 counts of sexual assault, at Birmingham Crown Court.
Bunn, from Bromsgrove, also admitted three counts of child abduction.
He was given a two-year jail sentence, suspended for two years. What is the point of that? Is this girl's abuse worth nothing? In the USA this creep would never see the light of day again. Hopefully someone will appeal the leniency of this sentence.
Bunn was also given a supervision order for the same period and ordered to sign the sex offenders register for 10 years.
Four further charges of sexual assault were ordered to lie on file against Bunn, from Marlbrook, at the court hearing on Friday.
I have no idea what this means. Are there still 4 charges outstanding against him? Is he going to be prosecuted on them? Is Marlbrook another jurisdiction? What? Is there someone who can explain it to me?
