Jesus, the first thing You require of
me is to come unto You. To come with empty hands, an open mind and an
open heart. To come with all my sins, my guilt, my shame, my awful
memories. To come with my pride, my stubbornness, my fears, my anger,
my rebellion, my right to myself. To come with my selfish ambition,
my wants, my fleshly desires, my lusts. To come and lay them all at
the feet of the Cross where You paid such a high price for me.
I come, Lord, holding nothing back.
Take my self-will and give me Yours. Remind me by Your Spirit to come
unto You every day until You make me an instrument of Your will that
You might accomplish what You want through me in this world, and so
that I might be prepared for whatever You have in mind for me in
Eternity.
Jesus, You are Lord of my life – all
of it. Glorify Yourself.
